Carolene is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Advocate. She obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Union Institute and University. Carolene is passionate about cultivating a space for her clients to feel safe sharing their experiences without judgement. She believes in meeting her clients where they are, supporting them through their healing journey and empowering them with the tools to become their authentic selves. She believes that despite the influence our adversities may have had, it does not have to determine our outcome.

 

Working in various behavioral and mental health settings, she observed how trauma can show up in one’s life. This deepened her need to better understand the individual, families and communities affected by trauma and how it can influence development. Carolene is passionate about understanding one’s journey and assisting the individual process and heal collectively.
